Our partners at Evolectric are making a major impact in their industry – and news outlets are taking note.
This Seismic company was the subject of a recent feature in green tech publication CleanTechnica.
It’s far from easy to become a Seismic portfolio company: our intensive screening and selection process leaves us with only some of the most exciting and innovative early-stage startups, led by founders with the bright ideas to really shake up their industry. We were overjoyed to announce our investment agreement with Evolectric earlier this year, and since then they’ve been showcasing why we were eager to add them to our portfolio in the first place.
In case you missed our earlier newsletters about Evolectric, here’s a run-down of the technology that’s got everyone talking. Their proprietary CircularEV system converts existing diesel-powered fleet trucks into gas-free electric vehicles. This process brings commercial fleets up to speed with the ongoing mass electrification of road vehicles, all the while avoiding supply chain issues and adding an additional measure of sustainability – it’s better for the environment to use the trucks that already exist rather than making entirely new ones, after all. Almost as important, this process is also much more affordable than purchasing new fleet trucks, aiding clients such as small businesses as they make the switch.
We’re not the only ones excited about Evolectric. In a recent article about vehicle upcycling from green tech publication CleanTechnica, Evolectric’s CircularEV approach and technology took center stage. You can read the article, which includes an exclusive interview with Evolectric Co-Founder, Co-CEO, and CTO Bill Beverly, here.
